“From the time I was a little girl, I remember standing between my mom and dad in church watching them worship, hands raised, eyes closed, tears streaming down their faces - praising a God they knew intimately. It is out of this wonderful upbringing that birthed my passion and love for the Lord and of praise and worship music. There is nothing in this world I love more than worshiping and leading worship.

As a worship leader and songwriter, there is no greater calling than to lead people into the presence of God. The deepest desire of my heart is for people to enter into a worship experience where they feel they’ve truly touched the face of God. I believe that is our Heavenly Father’s greatest desire – to lavishly love on us as we worship Him as He brings us to a place where we feel His presence tangibly around us. It is a foretaste of what's to come in Heaven! When we worship Him with everything we have in us, there is no way we will not come away renewed, refreshed and forever changed.”

Debi first began singing at the age of 14. By the age of 17, she had been singing all over northern California for youth conferences, church concerts, outreach events and on television. She was invited to sing for the National Day of Prayer in Sacramento, CA with William Franklin Graham III. She later attended American River College and studied classical and jazz music. Debi studied voice for 6 years with private vocal coaches as well as college vocal training. She performed with her college chamber choir at Carnegie Hall in 1991.

Debi married Christian music producer/programmer Andy Selby (CeCe Winans, Nicole C. Mullen, Mat Kearney) shortly thereafter and moved from northern California to Nashville.

Bestselling Christian author Stormie Omartian (Power Of A Praying Wife) and her producer husband Michael (Christopher Cross, Donna Summer) asked Debi to be a soloist on a new praise and worship project entitled “The Prayer That Changes Everything” (a companion project to Stormie's book of the same title). Debi sang leads on “River Of My Life” and “Worthy Is The Lamb” (duet with Stormie's daughter, Amanda). “Worthy Is The Lamb” was released as the first radio single and was played on radio stations across the country. The song went to #3 on the Christian Inspirational charts.

In addition to singing, Debi is also a songwriter. A worship song she wrote called “All That I Need” is currently featured on Song Discovery in Worship Leader magazine. “That's Where My Heart Is Too,” a song she co-wrote with her husband, was included on the album “Songs From The Message-The Way Of Love” (companion project to The Message Bible). A song she wrote entitled “The Cross Before Me” was arranged by David T. Clydesdale as a choral anthem and was released through Word Publishing's Choral Club. She also wrote many of the songs on her album.

Above all else, Debi's passion and calling is leading worship. In addition to ministering in her home church, she travels throughout the country leading worship and doing concerts in churches, seminars and outreach events.
